Racing
Engineering previews the forthcoming final race of the Spanish Formula
3 Championship, which takes place the 13th and 14th of November
at the Barcelona racetrack. Borja Garcias successful performance
of the season so far has been rewarded with the lead in the overall
standings, a position he definitely wants to keep. Steven Kane,
who will race in Barcelona for the first time, is eager to get to
know another racetrack and wants to once again deliver a very good
performance. Racing Engineerings car number three will have
Maria de Villota returning, who was replaced by her brother Emilio
during the last meeting due to her injured hand.
Racing
Engineering, after winning the Spanish Formula 3 Team Championship
title for the fourth consecutive time, is looking forward to the
races in Barcelona. The main objective is helping Borja win the
drivers championship. Borja, who has an advantage of eight
points in regards to his championship rival Giao, is confident and
cant wait for the race lights to go green.
Racing
Engineerings Steven Kane races at the Barcelona circuit for
the first time and the team is sure that he will impress again with
his first outing on the track. Not being familiar with any of the
Spanish tracks and especially the high temperatures, Steven has
been strong throughout the season so far and is an excellent third
in the overall standing.
In
Barcelona, Racing Engineerings car number three will be once
again driven by Maria de Villota. After her brother Emilio replaced
her during the race meeting at Jerez, Maria takes to the steering
wheel again and is eager to race.
Before
this important race weekend, Alfonso de Orleáns, Racing Engineerings
president, said, First of all I am happy that Maria is back
with the team as it must have not been easy for her at all to watch
the others race in Jerez. As for the championship, I am confident
that Borja and the team know what to do and will give their best.
They are professionals and work hard. The title would be the just
reward for their effort. For Steven, Barcelona will once again be
a completely new race track, but he is too good to be intimidated
by something like that. He likes the Jerez circuit and therefore
I am convinced he will be fast in Barcelona too. We have a big weekend
ahead of us and we are ready for it.
