International/AICP: new Committee and FIA Associate Member
In Paris the worldwide organisation of racing circuits Circuits
International/AICP (Association Internationale des Circuits
Permanents)
recently elected its new Committee Members for 2004 and 2005. The
new
Committee managing AICP now consists of:

The
AICP organisation
AICP
now consists of 35 member circuits worldwide, including nearly all
Formula 1 circuits. Members are permanent motor racing circuits
and circuits
organizing events with a permanent character. AICPs scope
is to optimise
the utilization of permanent circuits according to the needs of
motorcar and
motorcycle sporting events, by exchanging ideas and experiences
between
member circuits, in collaboration with recognized sporting authorities
and
other relevant organisations. Striving for technical perfection,
as well as
installations necessary for the comfort and safety of spectators
and
participants and care for the environment are important spearheads.
AICP is
officially represented in the sporting bodies of FIA and FIM.
AICP
now is an Associate Member of FIA
During
its last General Assembly FIA has accepted the affiliation of
Circuits International/AICP as an Associate Member in its capacity
as an
international association, according to article 3.6 of the FIA statutes.
During the meetings of the general Assembly, Circuits International/AICP
will be represented by its President, Mr Hans Ernst.
