GP2
prospect Clivio Piccione will once again test for 2004 F3000 Championship
Winning Team, Arden International, following his successful run
earlier last month at Snetterton. Clivio will join the team for
2 days at Estoril on the 2nd and 3rd of December as part of their
final evaluation of drivers for next seasons GP2 Championship. After
a strong season with Carlin Motorsport in the British F3 Championship,
Clivio Piccione is one of the front runners for a seat in the newly
formed GP2 series.
'The
chance to secure a second test with Arden is very satisfying and
I intend to make the most of the opportunity. I want to drive in
GP2 next year with a competitive team and I am focusing on Arden.
I enjoyed my first outing with the team at Snetterton and I am looking
forward to working with them again in Estoril and having a constructive
2 days. It is not a circuit I have driven on before which is great
because I learn new tracks quickly.'
Christian Horner said of his decision to test Clivio for a second
time:
"I
was very impressed with Clivio's maturity and speed during his test
with us at Snetterton and I am looking forward seeing what he can
do at Estoril."
Piccione
has just returned from an intensive week long training camp in Lanzarote
with highly rated fitness guru Bernie Shrosbree.
